I am looking to get one of these bad boys but don't know which one to get. For the price Mamiya AFD I is very affordable. Can anyone explain the differences between all 3 models?

Man, what a cool system. Are you looking into going digital? otherwise the older manual mamiyas are even cheaper…

interesting there are so many versions of the 645 for mamiya it's hard to choose which one. that was decent amount of info but still not sure which one i should get.

I have an AFD
The way I understood it was
each iteration in the series has slightly better af and better compatibility with digi backs and lenses

Dont expect the AF to perform like a Canikon DSLR.
AF can be quite slow but is very accurate once it locks.
One nice feature is you can mount previous manual focus mamiya glass like the 80 1.9 and others that can be had cheap.

Yes which lenses are fit with the afd? do they have specific names and such?

Does anyone know if the RRS L-Bracket for the 645 AFD II also fits the 645 AFD III

Already did that, they didn't know that there is a 645 AFD III, so they couldn't answer the question..
