Lady luck smiled at me a bit when this Coop landed very close to me

It was so close I was not able to get a decent full bird shot.

I had the same thing happen to me this winter, only with a Red-shouldered Hawk; I ended up wishing the 500mm didn't have the 1.4 converter attached. At least you got the entire bird in # 2 and 3 here; nice work. Gregg

Absolutely gorgeous!! Every one of these shots is so stunning, I can't pick a favorite. You really did get lucky. You can't wish for better accipiter shots than these!!

Marvelous detail and the eyes are rivetting...try playing with the exposure a wee bit and see how you like it...not much just a tad.
