p.1 #1 · Dominica - Lizard and Crab

Well I am just back from the Carribean. It was not a great photography cruise because the boat docked too late and left too early but the family was happy. [ Except I left my 5dii at home and went shopping in St Thomas for my first 2 shots below. $3350]

Here are my best shots.

Comments and feedback is appreciated. Scott

Well done!

Conrad Tan: Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

tfoltz: Glad you like them. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

eyelaser: re intentionally left a camera home.... Yes - and there is nothing more frustrating than realizing that you have a great new body and you have brought your best crop lens (50 1.8, 100-400 and 17-55) kit on a cruise that does not lend itself to landscape or wildlife. Life is tough I had to take pictures of people Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Must to tough to have to settle for such scant opportunities in such circumstances. You did nicely with the crusty posers you found.

Damn Scott some folks will go to GREAT Lengths to buy new gear

You did that on purpose Does the Mrs know?

So you bought a 7D for 3,350 ? Right ?

Well you didn't specify which images from below so I just had to assume a fool and his money

Very kewl man and congrats on the latest Canon Camera.... I'm guessing you were gonna buy one of those anyway when you got back home.......

KCollett: It was tough - all dressed up and no place to go. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

CDaescher: Glad you like it. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Benzzene: The crabs were crabby and I needed the long 100-400 to get them. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

kmunroe: Glad you like them. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

anthony whitmo: It cost me more than that in a bracelet. My wife snookered me by letting me buy first and then buying some diamiand encrusted chain for here rist. So not the fool in the way you were anticipating but got snookered by the wife. The only saving was that I was prepared to pay the border tax on returning and the border guys were busy so they told me not to bother. So $3350 for a 5diii is pretty good. Thanks for your support. the closeup of the lizard in #4 is great - he looks like something from prehistoric times.

All of these are very nice Scott. What more could you ask for - great shots, family vacation, and a new body. If I bought a new body, my wife would probably say that she hoped it would keep me warm because that would be the only one I'd get close to for a while... ~ Ron
