Is a pretty solid book, it was very handy when we visited. I am sure there are newer/better ones out there. If you are local here in town and cannot find one, let me know if you want to borrow it (NW Austin there).
When we had gone, I used 17-40, 10-22 & 70-200 f4 and 300 F4 on 20D. 300 F4 was used for a couple of landscapes and we did see momma bear and a couple of cubs. Monopod & tripod would both come in handy.
Take rain gear & CPL and ND filters. The waterfall mists can drench you. While CPL would typically cut off the rainbows, when you photograph at minimal effect, it ends up enhancing the rainbows. ( I was actually able to get moonbrow as you can see below):
