The processing was meant with this Image as I thought it suits It. Maybe the skin Is not to everyones taste and a little overdone but when i go back to it after a while I may tone it down.
I have also tried being creative with the catch light.
Lighting setup-
2 x 285 vivitar's bounced off a brolly to the front and high.
Great looking shot; perfect lighting, and gorgeous model. Given the texture of the mask area skin, can see why you smoothed out the rest of her face. Was the mask “airbrushed” on before the exposure. The only nit I have is wished the mask had sharper edges, similar to the bridge of her nose. You could enhance the blue in her eyes a tad to enhance the contrast. Just my 2 cents worth.
Stunning shot my friend and welcome to the FM forum. I'm glad you decided to join up.
This shot is a testament to what can be done without the need for thousands of pounds worth of gear. Well done indeed. I love your work mate. Please share more.
Really nice work. I would bring out the eyes' (blues and whites) more than you show, and have the eye "mask" hue match that hue of the hood, as you did matching the lips to the hood. As is it now the eye mask leans towards green.
Looks great. Did you test the impact of leaving the eyes blue? I'd think that leaving the eyes blue, or blue green (pretty close to the compliment of the cape color), might be quite impactful.
Thanks John. No I didn't do that, I thought you meant changing the eyes to red, matching the cape I'll have ago at that.
Do you think the eyes as they are now work?
I love everything about this picture.I just love the shade of red,the skin color and texture, the color and detail of her clothing. It's an awesome shot in all respects.I can't give you more than an A+++ for excellency,It's not possible, sorry. Thanks for sharing your talent....
This speaks volumes that people seem to ignore about the legitimacy of technology, even if it's ten years old.
I cross-linked your image and some of the information in your post to make a statement on my University's School of Photography blog to make a point about exactly that.
Since its clear that Jon's work is exceptional and he is likely to become a popular poster on here, I just want to point out at this stage that you have me to thank for Jon aka creativesnaps posting on the forum.
