p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Pictures taken from video mode... a question

I've noticed that often times any shots taken from a canon video mode -- most often 1920/1080 30fps -- will be more contrasty and saturated in color than the same image taken manually or in AV mode or etc...

Does anybody know why this is?

I notice this on the cameras LCD (t3i) and on a computer monitor.

I noticed sRGB is defaulted for shots in video mode. . . would sRGB instead of aRGB be the difference here?

I was under the impression it shouldn't matter in RAW anyway, though.
