Yes, these are super images Ruhikant. I know it is not easy to capture these guys in flight and you did it with wonderful BGs.

Spectacular shots!

How would you rate AF speed and tracking of 5DIII vs your 1DIV?

Thanks everyone for stopping by and commenting.
I am still evaluating this cam and comparing with 1D4 in many situations.

Great shots, Ruhikant. Have you tried that combo with a 1.4x TC?

Thanks Tony. I tried taping canon's 1.4TC II & III and it worked quite well despite a bit initial oscillation..not a problem for stationary or slow moving birds. However, the Tamron's cheapo non- reporting 1.4TC worked much better and I am sure this combo will get more flight shots..again, the image has some dark corners, not a problem for birds since we crop it anyway.

Great set. They look way better than they sound. Dang things never shut up and have a pretty shrill call. Pretty much hear them all the time out in the country here in northwest Ohio. Outside of the city limits they are very common. Out by the lake its an orchestra of killdeer, lol.
