I grabbed those raw files fly and I'm pretty impressed with the shots. Maybe it's just the extra resolution of the NEX7 but they look really good.

What a great lens, even at F2.8 near corners for mid distance is sharp enough for most uses.

Some samples on nex7, No saturation or vibrance added, except for 1 where it's obvious.

The color separation and just fine detail close up is easily that of a $600 lens.

If you told me this was a Zeiss lens, I wouldn't be shocked.

Definitely picking up the 30mm now.

Here's a couple from the ZA 24mm F1.8 Zeiss which I brought along as well.

There's very little to complain about - especially given the price. The files come out a bit flat for me, so it takes another 20 seconds of PP to add more contrast. Aside from that, you can't lose for $200.

I've actually found the files to be sometimes a bit too saturated on these new Sigmas along with strong global albeit slightly weak micro contrast.
