Keith Kapple and I re-visited a spot I've tried to shoot several times now. Finally got clear skies and the Texas Hill Country happened to be in full bloom right now, so we took advantage of it.

Thanks Ron. I've never been able to get decent weather at this spot (it's several hours drive for me) so I feel like I finally got what I wanted!

Todd, was reading Keith's post and went to the link, glad I did: Wow what a beautiful shot ! What were you using for fg lighting I like the cleanness of the light (no color cast). Great comp , really nice job here. Dean

Thanks Dean, this is a bit of combo plate for lighting. We had a half moon last night, and we lit the tree and the building with a very warm propane lantern, and the flowers were hit with several shots from an LED flashlight.

I think this helped keep the flowers true color and the tree and ruins, show up better.

My only gripe is it needs be a little more cliché......needs a longhorn or windmill

Thank you everyone. We had a really fun night with no sleep, but we were pretty productive. Great skies and the flowers were awesome.

Jake, you know... we were looking for both longhorns and windmills!!

Thanks for trekking all over with me Keith, hope you had as much fun as I did.
