Could be a muskrat, I doubt Nutria if this were taken near your home.

Definitely a beaver, small ears and the oily fur make it one.

I will add to the Beaver pile! I see them frequently also along with Nutria and Muskrat, it's a Beaver

Thanks everyone. Do they ever come inland ? There are about 15/20 of them but mostly under water all the time!
