Glad your enjoying it. I've been very impressed with the DR of this camera and the metering is better than any Canon I've used.

Got the 18-55 in the mail the other day, after only having the 35 1.4 previously. The 18-55 is much better built (and heavier) than I thought it would be - feels great in the hand, very sharp and the IS seems very effective....

18mm, f/5.6

Testing the IS.....55mm, 1/12 sec....

Just picked up a used 14mm, seems the Zeiss 12mm pre-orderes have made more Fuji 14's available in the last week than I've ever seen, certainly in the UK anyway.

John - that's what I was hoping for! I have been holding out on getting the 14mm and just using my CV 15mm - which is fine, but I would love the perfection of the 14mm.

Greg - lovely shots!

Everyone thanks for the on my latest images of the BABY - here's another (after graduation he was tuckered out - this was out on the ranch. You can see my two ranch hands here are not very useful...)

My processing was a bit grungy, i'm sure I can manage something better when I get a real chance to use the 14 in decent light

From yesterday, playing with the kiddos: All with 18-55 -- I can't decide which lens to get next, though the 14mm looks awesome.

Once I get a breather from work/school/daddy duties, I'm considering resurrecting my long-neglected blog and write down some thoughts on the camera so far. Fuji could take a few steps to really, really improve the XE1's usability. I might just try to write them some suggestions also. As it stands, though, I like the camera as-is, so that's good

I'm really starting to like this body. I'm also learning my way around the quirks and which JPEG scenarios (or RAW) are good for which situations.

I'm *also* starting to see how people like street shooting - it has a nice appeal to it, trying to catch interesting scenes or expressions.

Took a trip with the family to Santa Fe, NM (first time there for us) and it's a nice little town, lots of art colleges and people with cameras, so I didn't feel too "strange" snapping shots (still shy though, but at least the XE1 is small and pretty unobtrusive)

Strangely, I've found it nearly impossible to get a sharp shot at 1/30s using OIS, no matter what the focal length. I have no idea why. I'll have to do more testing, but that might be my "danger" shutter speed. that is matching my heart beat or something crazy like that.

Tell me if the 1280px versions are too much, I'll have to re-export them to 1024x from LR -- Flickr's downscaling adds too much "crunchy" unfortunately.

That is strange, I've found the IS to be very effective on the 18-55.
