Trying to get the Fuji to flare. That's one thing I maybe miss compared to my Canon gear; it was so easy to squeeze nice flares out of it. Fuji seems much more flare-resistant...

The 35/1.4 always amazes me.

Sooo, FF *does* make a huge difference from a crop body.
Especially with this lens, on my FF bodies, I want to say EVERYTHING blooms/glows/halos at f1.2
I have deliberately not used either of my FF bodies, using just the FujiFilm X-E1.
I like it.
FINALLY, got a "dreamy" style rendering from the below combination.
FujiFilm X-E1 and Minolta MC Rokkor-X 58/1.2, 12mm Kenko tube :

Got the same lens using on my omd. Will get a adapter to use on my xe1. Beautiful shot

Would you say it "outperforms" the Sigma version?

for me sure.

the sigma might look more real to me with different downsizing/sharpening but it's also got some weird color artifacts in the sand.

Zugspitze?

So, are you an echter Bayer or a fellow Zuagrosta in Minga? That first sun in a while... didn't catch much of it myself over in Kolumbusplatz...

Hi Justruss

Yes, it's Zugspitze and the cake is of the coffee shop of Botanischer Garten.
I'm again heading this morning for Zugspitze. It's a petty not more skiing resorts keep open longer with the massive amount of snow still down to the valley. Most importantly we get sun in Munich lately.

Well I've not posted here before, despite owning the XP1 for almost a year, and taken a few thousand photos with it. So here goes.
Last year I made a trip to Vietnam to rendezvous with some old school friends and go kayaking in Halong Bay. I had a wonderful, amazing time and if asked, could not recommend adventures like this enough

First stop was Hanoi. Now, my wife is Vietnamese but she escaped as a refugee. She has an inbuilt dislike of anything related to the Vietnamese communists, and warned me, that Hanoi was not going to be a fun place to be. Now I'm not going to say she was wrong, but I did have fun and it was a vibrant, colourful and very noisy city, well worth a visit.

I took my XP1 and a Nex 5n. Here 4 shots of street scenes in Hanoi. More to come later.

Cheers

PS I've seen some great photos in this thread and really appreciate others sharing their work

I know... I can see the sun from my balcony, and all I want to do is drink an Augustiner by the Isar. But I'm flying to America for a quick 1-week visit. Be back here posting images to the thread soon.

Here's one from a few weeks ago at Hochfugen. My favorite off-piste, in-resort spot to go in the area.
