Hey, thanks for the kind words...but actually these photographs are not very difilcult to make...

All you need is a tripod and to be at the right place (in the whole wide world)! 30s, wide-open, adjust ISO!

Street photography or portraits like Brody's, now that is hard!

Boring compared to the other posts here...
But this tree intrigues me at work.
I find it kind of neat.
Quick snap, doing my morning walk.
X-E1 and XF35/1.4, RAW from SilkyPix 3.2.13.0, then to CS6.

To answer your question carstenw, no I did not rename the thread!! I would be happy if Fred investigated how it could have happened, as you say normally it is only the OP that should be able to change it.

Anyway, love all the great photos coming lately - keep them coming guys and girls!!

Well, this is bizarre. I suppose then it must have been a moderator (I cannot imagine Fred doing it), or perhaps someone with access to your computer or password.

The most significant thing I notice about this camera is the skin tones are so damn perfect. Far better than my Nikons I would say.

A few from the Marin Headlands today- my first shots with this camera. The first two are with the 35mm 1.4, the others with the 18-55. Overall I'm very happy with the resolution and sharpness. The colors are natural, although coming out of RAW conversion in LR 4.4, they need a lot of saturation and vibrance, a couple of these are as high as +20 on saturation. The flash came in very handy for fill. It was fun trying the panorama- seems to work well.

Here are 4 photo that I took yesterday with my tripod mounted X-E1 camera as it is approaching sunset at the Lock Ridge Park (the site of an old Iron Furnace works), Alburtis, PA. All images processed in LR4.4RC. The first 2 are of the remnants of the Carpentry Shop and were taken using my Leica 35-70mm f4 Vario Elmar zoom lens. The second 2 images taken with my Leica 80-200mm f4 Vario Elmar lens.

Some great shots again people.
I bought the new Fuji 14mm lens yesterday and it looks very promising! Sharp and the low distortion is great.

Yeah, I think I may save up for the 14mm. I'm debating between that and waiting for the 10-14, but I figure if I eventually want to get the 10-14, that likely means I'm going to be switching predominantly to Fuji from m4/3, so I can get that when or if that time ever comes, and replace my 7-14mm with it. In the meantime, the 14mm will give me a very capable little kit for the X-E1 that I can use when shooting more deliberately, and the m4/3 kit will remain for more speed/versatile work.

I'm a RAW shooter and I'm thinking of getting the X-E1 with the 14mm due to its amazingly low distortion. My main use for this setup will be landscape with HDR and quick stitched work, so mainly manual focus with auto-bracket of 2 eV. I have a NEX-7 that has been wonderful so far, but there is no good UWA on Sony. The Samyang is quite limited with its enormous distortion. What do you guys think? Should I just wait for the Zeiss 12 instead? Thank you.
