corposant, nice example that one can do fast sports with Fuji X and add distrinctive mood.
BTW, on my screen the colors are a bit cold.

Does anyone here shoot video with the X-E1? In my work, much of it done while travelling overseas, requires both still and video. I am 100% comfortable using the X-E1 for all my stills needs, but am having some problems with video (in particular, choosing focus settings that keep the subject in focus!).

What is not clear from the manual is what AF settings to use, and to what extent (if any) the selected focus point that work perfectly in single image mode is respected once in video mode. I have the sound side covered (I record second system sound and use the camera's recorded sound only for syncing), but need reliable focus and—preferably—focus that can follow the action. All suggestions gratefully received, and this can be made a separate thread too, if folk prefer.

ive used some video with it, but i treat it like any video dslr, manual focus is the only way to go. Its no camcorder.

Yes, but I found AF speed with the 35mm to be as lame as before. AF Precision I cannot tell yet...

And, Fuji: where is the user selectable lower shutter time limit for Auto ISO

yeah thats a bugger. but i like that the AF button can be moved to the AE-L button

The firmware update is an improvement. Less hunting and less problems with backlighting. I also notice pushing the shutterbutton before waiting for the green AF box nails the focus almost every time.

this is my impression as well, definitely feels snappier. and also has better lock when dealing with close focusing.

Just got back from 3 weeks in India on assignment using my XE + 35 1.4 and adapted Tammy 17mm-- as second to my 5dmk2 + 35L-- and all I can say is that I'm blown away from the images I am starting to review on the XE.

It's THAT good. I can't post any of the assignment pics until the assignment happens, but I will post afterward. And I'll post some of the non-assignment pics when I get around to them.

I'm still loving this thread.
