I believe you sold the 16/1.4 and picked up the 10-24
Are you liking it better?
Does it weigh and balance about the same?
You gotta love those West Coast beaches

Both are really, really good lens, so I can't say one is that much better than the other. There is some cool stuff you can do with the 16/1.4 such as focus very close, and shot wide open, which gives a unique wide FoV but with tons of subject isolation.
The 10-24 is strong in its own right, giving a very useful focal range from ultra wide angle 15mm equiv to a semi-normal 35mm equiv., so its like having a bag of classic focal lengths of 16, 18, 21, 24, 28 and even 35mm all in one lens, and unlike a lot of wide zooms, the 10-24 is good over the whole range, unlike say as Sony 16-35, which is more of a 16-24 if you know what I mean lol. The 10-24 also has OIS which is handy for a lot of shooting, though the 16/1.4 is 3 stops faster so that can prove useful too, depends what your shooting...
16mm is WR, 10-24 isn't but both seem built pretty solid. Given I shoot around salt water, I try not to take too many chances with either getting splashed, nor my camera, WR or not, salt water is bad stuff for electronics and while people may feel safe housing off some WR cameras under the sink, salt water is a different story...
16mm is a pretty big lens, 10-24 isn't exactly small either, and if I'm honest, the 16/1.4 handles better of the two, yet I can't say either is ideal for a walk around. Something like the 18/2 or 35/1.4 just feels much more balanced on the XT2, at least sans grip.
Overall, while the 16/1.4 is very good, I was mainly shooting it stopped down a bit, at least for the typical beach stuff I shoot, and at similar aperture, the 10-24 looks just as good to my eyes, and of course can give me the option of going wider/tighter with the zoom ring.
Doesn't really make sense to carry both at once though, due to the overlap, and at least for stuff like I do, ie; walking on the beach, I found that when I had the 16/1.4 I sometimes wishes I could go wider, say for some cloud formations, while when I was carrying the 10-24 I didn't really find myself in situations where I wish I could shoot with a larger aperture.
