My first C1 process. The 2nd is a bit unsharp anyway because of me carrying a telly whilst taking the photo, but the first.. I'm amazed at the detail I can extract out of X-Trans files with this software. Really really good.

So excited to announce that my XPro1 arrived today! I, unfortunately, had a sick kiddo, so nothing too terribly exciting to shoot.

These are my first shots:

I like the colors in the third shot a lot! Did you run them through LR?

Thanks Brody! Yes, I just upgraded from LR3 to LR4 and have always been a VSCO user ... so I updated to Film 01 for LR4. These (if I remember correctly) are 800Z first two, and last is Portra 800 - and all are tweaked after that. LR4 is different ... where's my recovery and brightness slider? I guess it's all in the 4 part section under exposure/contrast? Highlight shadow, yada yada? I'll get around to it all eventually!

Here's a couple more from my drive to the store this afternoon...

Katie, the set with your kids at home are really great! Like the mood a lot. Are those also form VCSO profile? which one?

Thanks!

Yes, zhangyue, when I said "these", I actually meant the post before - the one of my kid at home - not those from this afternoon (which were also coincidentally done with VSCO).

Xenor, the second shot is interesting
teh_rebel, excellent shots with the C/Y 50. I've been itching for ages to get that lens, too bad it requires surgery if I use it for the D700 - XE1.

A few from the last weekend, all raining since then. Either with the 35 or the kit 18-55, I have a feeling that I will buy every lens Fuji gets out

x-e1 35/1.4

35/1,4 is a spectacular lens, but I think I will change it with 23/1,4 as only lens for this system

Snow makes a good reflector
Not very easy to fold up and put in your pocket though ;-)

Am I wrong in thinking that this camera makes the most ordinary situations really pop? (indoors, around the house, family) The folks who just snap off a few shots after opening seem as if they spent time composing and lighting the scene.

Would you consider switching to an X100s then, or is the 23/2 too slow for you?

It's not the camera, ever.
