The Seattle water front has a huge Ferris Wheel:

I decided would be fun to photograph the wheel at night and here you can see some of the lights which have been turned on at sunset:

Many cool images of this wheel can be made because it changes color, flashes lights etc. No 2 images are the same. Posted are some examples, but, I literally have 20 or so that all look different:

I noticed that the reflections in the water might be interesting and initially took wider shots. However, after zooming in on the water I realized that many surreal images could be made:

If you get the chance this is a great location for night photography…but don’t do like I did and forget your ND filter!

Very nice selection of different compositions and appearances from your vantage points.

It looks like the 27mm pancake lens is on special at the moment and I was hoping for some feedback from those that use that lens on the XE-1. Looking through this forum, it does not appear to have much use. It looks ideal for to make a lightweight travel camera, almost like the X100s.
Do any users of this lens have any comments on the utility of this lens on the XE-1?

Central Avenue Bridge on the Mississippi. Looks like it needs some help.

X-T1 with 56/1.2. Contrast was really low because the humidity was so high that my lens fogged instantly, and I couldn't get it to unfog outside, even after wiping it off. Crazy. Was able to bring back some of the contrast in post, though.

I was really excited when I saw how abstract they were.

Like you said, it is small and makes it easy to carry the camera around. I really like my copy. It seems sharp over most of the frame with acceptable (for me) sharpness drop-off at the edges. Cheap, small, light, sharp...what's not to like?

Here is a nice review:

I used the XF 27mm on my X-E1 when I had one. I found it to be an excellent lens - very sharp, as contrasty as the other Fuji's, nice color rendition. If you like and have a use for the focal length, and don't need a faster max aperture, it's a nice and super-compact lens.

As far as the 27mm not getting much attention here, I think that's mostly because so many of the active posters here use the faster 23mm and 35mm lenses (or else the 35 and have an X100/X100s). For many Fuji users with those, the 27 becomes somewhat redundant.

Lenaa, a beautiful model and a nice contrast between the two
X-E2, 35mm, @f4

I guess I like the 35mm f1.4 more than the 56mm, it gives depth and shallow depth of field. For me useable even so close.
35mm, @f2

Amazing skin tones, esp the contrast in the couple shot. I also like Lenaa's hair against the white wall - it just grabs my attention. Lovely!

Yes, Fuji is all about skin tone for me. I never succeeded to mimic the jpg skin tone with any raw converter, but now the combination of Capture One and the ICC profiles of Scottie Wang (http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/52259495) does it for me.
