Timarruda - Great shot of the Portland Head Tim. I visited you're Flickr account and I wanted to tell you that I think you are really rockin' that 35mm. I bought my x-t1 with it but I planned to buy a 23mm right away. I'm thinking now though, that I should definitely work the 35 for a while before buying more glass. You've done very well with it judging from your images.

Shot with Fuji X-T1 and Fotasy 35mm 1.7 CCTV lens $25 worth...Not sure of the aperture, but I'm amazed on how sharp it is for a $20 lens. Adjust contrast, black levels, and highlights in photo ninja. Not much else using Provia preset.

I love my 55-200 for sharp pics, and below is very sharp, but even at F9 I get some vignetting. Tripod shot at 3 sec. at F9. Processed ACR with no lens or vignetting correction. No filters or hood.

Its correctable, but is this normal even this stopped down?

Thanks Mike! In the past I've never spent all that much time working with just one lens and like most of us, changed lenses regularly. When I bought the XE-1 when it first came out, I decided I wanted the challenge of just working with one lens for a while and dealing with the challenges that come along with that. It's gone on a lot longer than I intended! I love this lens. I am finally at the point where I'm ready to add another lens though. I'm thinking of the new 10-24. We'll see.

I'll have to test mine. Happens at all focal lengths or just certain ones?

I couldn't wait - I just hit up the B&S here (plus wanted to stretch the budget). With some patience, got the XT1 with grip and extra wasabi battery for basically $1170, not too shabby!

I broke down and got one today.

I have to say...got a 42A serial, and I can tell that the 4 way buttons are DEFINITELY better than on the unit I reviewed. Still shallow, but nice positive clicks!

So, with my new X-T1, I of course decided to see how it tracks with the 56/1.2. I got my 56/1.2 about 2 weeks after I reviewed the X-T1 back in February, so I was most anxious to try it with that lens. Of course, it works brilliantly. Also, on an unrelated note: Man I love the EVF in this camera.

Anyway, tested it in a single run with my son crawling (quite quickly) at me, while shooting indoors at f/1.2. Out of 11 frames in this burst, 8 were in perfect focus. I'll take that under these conditions. I was shooting at the 8fps burst and auto ISO. To not flood the scene with all the images, here are three of the sequence:

X-T1, 56/1.2 @ f/1.2:

I agree...I seen amazing shots taken with full frame, crop sensors and even camera phones.

The 56 1.2 looks very close to the almighty Nikon 58mm in terms of bokeh. That's impressive.

Anyone owns both and could do a direct comparison ? That would be glorious.

Really like the first shot but I'd clone out the rubbish on the beach - the colours and brightness catch the eye.

I have seen vignetting wide open at F4,5 or so, but not at F9... You may ask it to be checked by Fuji...
