SNS is just another HDR program. Even with the X-Trans incredible dynamic range, some scenes like this (the sun is setting right behind the Bell) are beyond the sensor's dynamic range resulting in either clipped highlights or shadows with no detail. The defacto program is Photomatrix Pro, but I found nothing produces natural looking HDR pics as well as SNS HDR Pro (as natural as HDR can get). The program is so easy to use to--I just loaded the 3 pics and chose a preset (Natural) and a minute later the pic was done. I found SNS really stresses the RAW/JPG files. Running RAW files from my old Canon XTI (or even my E-M1) through SNS revealed all kinds of noise in the shadow areas. With my X-Trans files the SNS output is very clean. It's a testament to both SNS as well as the XTrans sensor.
