semi-off topic question - are there any extension tubes for this system yet? I want to get the 60mm macro but I'm not sure 1:2 max is enough for me...

i can recommend instead of dangerous extension tubes two canon close up lenses 250D and 500D which are both of a very high quality. 250D is twice stronger. Distance to subject is about 25-10cm at 55mm. More info here:

Test only of new computer and trying to get pictures sized.
Sorry to waste bandwidth!
The only on topic here is that the first is shot with the X-T1 with 60mm hand held with one hand around the end of my desk at ISO3200. Pretty clean for the circumstances. We then went outside to give the new 60mm a couple of snaps. I am really pleased with the Fuji lenses up to now.
I will work on size!

Looks like a great place to be xenor! Love beaches in winter and on bad weather days in summer.

I paid a visit to to the Ice Caves in the Apostle Islands. While I'm still processing shots from the caves, we were also blessed with a nice sunset. All taken with the kit lens, jpeg mode and the last in Velvia (nearly SOOC).

Only issue is that the 60's unique extending barrel design means that you have a 39mm filter thread. It's not easy to find a good close-up filter in 39mm

HelenaN - Love the black and white tonal range in the bridge. Beautifully captured with the 14mm lens.

Fuji Image Smoothing (JPG) - I took this at 6400 iso and I think the camera has done an amazing job in tricky light (tungsten bulb). I haven't sharpened it or added clarity though it has had a bit of vsco for colour.

However the skin does look very smooth and I'm wondering if anyone has found settings that may work better, esp re sharpness and NR. Any thoughts?

This was X-T1 and 18-55

Helena - Love the bridge shot, great low angle
Bob - Great shots love the first one with the people passing by.
galenapass - Cool abstract with the little 27mm.

Here's one from a quick trip into Newcastle while I was holidaying in Northumberland. (This shoot was a reward for spending the previous 5 hours shopping in the metro center)

The only thing that's worked for me is to shoot RAW. Turning down NR to -2 still results in overly smooth skin.

wow, the 14mm really looks great.

Also, why are so many people afraid of shooting raw? is it because of the inconsistent processing of the fuji raw files? (legit question, I have my x-t1 but all my lenses are still backordered haha)

I shoot raw + jpeg, when I upload to my PC i split them into different directories and import the jepgs into lightroom. I'll look at the raws if i think the jpeg has been clipped too much.

I also read that ACR will soon support fuji film emulation, like the velvia setting. Thats another reason i look at the jpeg first, the out of camera colours are great.
