Spiro, What a beautiful lineup!
___

I haven't gotten a chance to run the 55-200 through it's full lengths but I have had the op to take a couple shots around the house... This thing is stellar! Pretty sure I could shoot 99.9% of my stuff with this and the 23mm alone (but don't tell my better half that!)

XT1, 55-200 @200mm, f5.6. OCF.

Funny, I live in Germany but actually have less (i.e. none) German blood I was just wondering why you put Omi.

Tracking on the X-T1 works plenty good for me. It was too bright to make good use of the EVF, but the flip screen worked out ok. Of course, bright and snowy might be the most demanding situation possible for an EVF or LCD.

After almost three months of drought (this has been the strangest winter I have ever experienced) the rain clouds started to build up, so I went for a short walk. I had hoped for the sun to come out and light up the landscapes, but it never did.

Remember, with Fuji cameras when in P, A or S modes, the EVF follows your Q menu settings.
So if you set your Q menu to low contrast (film simulation Ns, highlight tone -2, shadow tone -2) things improve a fair bit.
Problem with doing that of course is that then you get a shitty low contrast jpeg out of the camera, but if you can live with that then the EVF becomes much more usable even in bright daylight.
Not OVF good, but usable.

thanks for that Spyro, I will try it out. If it doesn't affect the RAW, that is ok. I don't need the JPG.

Helena, Great landscape, grey skies can look pretty too ;-)

Hauxon - Great portrait, lovely catchlight in the eyes, did you use a flash?

Thanks, it's just window light. I have rather big windows and semi transparent panel curtains. My guess would be that they were partially closed and thus working as a striplight.

Lovely light on you image John, isn't it 15°C now in the UK? It's either raining or snowing these days here in Iceland. Can't wait for spring!

semi-off topic question - are there any extension tubes for this system yet? I want to get the 60mm macro but I'm not sure 1:2 max is enough for me...

There are several available but have a lot of issues. I have tried two sets, both basically repackaged from the same manufacturer, one from Fotga and one from Fotasy, both were junk. They fit way too tight and would damage the contacts on the lens and crush the "fingers" on the body. I had a review and some pics of what was happening on another forum.

Be careful if you decide to try them, there were several people that did damage to their cameras, enough that it required repair from Fuji.

hmm that doesn't sound good. what's the likelihood of a reputable manufacturer making some?

It seems very hit and miss. I tried one set from Fotasy and it was tight enough that I never fully mounted them and returned. Another set was loose and caused light leaks. I got a refund and didn't rebuy.

I found another set from a different manufacturer and they look different, when I get them I will post some results.
