Magic, what was your lighting setup for those shots... if you don't mind sharing. The first one, in particular, looks great.

How do you like people's skin from the camera's jpeg engine compared to the XE-1?
I'm wanting to "upgrade" my XE-1 to an XE-2, but am put off from all the negative talk about the change of the jpeg engine conversions.

It's not much of an issue at NR =-2. It can get a bit over smoothed at high ISO when NR is turned up, though. I shoot RAW exclusively, though, and just use JPEG conversion in order to transfer to my iPad and share images quickly. When I do real processing, I almost always use the RAW.

Good to know, I shoot RAW+JPEG on my XE-1, and sharpness has always been -2 on it.
I shoot RAW+JPEG on my XE-1 so I can give away files fast and easy, while on the ol' 5DMkII, it is RAW only, the jpegs are no where near the level of the great FujiFilm jpegs.

I have been amazed at all the incredible images posted here. Nature, Portraits, Landscapes, its almost overwhelming so I thought I would just share a couple of mine real quickly These were shot with the 55-200 and converted from RAW. Just amazed at what this camera can do

I really wanted to emphasize the tree, as the way I saw it through polarized shades.
I cropped it, and played with luminous masks and painting.
Very tedious and time consuming, especially with the subject matter.
I don't know how all of you have the proper time for your awesome images.
Here is my humble attempt, the full sized version is nice, this re-sized version doesn't convey the same meaning...

Earlier this year, right before Easter.
Our nice little trip to the beach on Tybee Island, GA.
One of the marsh walkways, there was this tree with moss that was starting to bloom, the light was harsh, but hit the tree making it interesting.
I wish I could have it separated from the busy background, but here it is...
