This is fantastic! At first glance it looked like an aerial shot of farmland with massive sprinklers on. It looks like a full landscape at a totally different scale than a puddle. Love it.

OT: BokehBeauty-- no, skipped the stuberl. After a couple years here in Minga, and it not being summer, I'm feeling a little over-helles-ed. Thankfully we have Red Hot Munich and the Taphouse now serving IPAs and other non-Bavarian varieties.

Thanks Mike.

Here's another from earlier that evening and a slightly different vantage point, this time using a handrail on the stairs leading up to the National Gallery as support and my iPhone to raise the lens a tad so the handrail wasn't too intrusive.

Very nice pictures in here! Rob-O, the trafalgar picture is stunning!

Below are some shots from today, we've been to a farm with the little one.
I used a Konica UC Hexanon 28mm F1.8, a modified Lens Turbo, and a X-E1:

Couple randoms from the last few months.

Although the EXIF is incorrect, the lenses used are Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 2/58 (first image) and the second two are from the A. Schacht Ulm Travenar 135/3.5.

Perfect timing. There was a fire about a quarter mile away, darkened the clouds and the setting sun illuminated the underside of the smokey clouds. The shot lasted for maybe a minute before the smoke rolled through the park and we had to leave.

Haven't seen this done with a Fuji X camera yet...

The moon, Vivitar 400mm f/6.3 @ f/8, 2x TC, handheld, 1/60. Effective focal length is 1200mm with this setup. Please note, this image is not cropped at all. When I took the shot, I had to use a rifleman style hold to keep it steady. One of these days I will use a tripod.

Oh, thats an airplane flying through the top of the moon. Didn't see that through the viewfinder.

Taken last Saturday night, while it was still reasonably warm.

X-E1, 35 1.4, ISO 800, f/8.0, 1.1 sec and tripod mounted

This was taken from North Avenue Beach. My first attempt at shooting the night skyline. I wish I had something wider than the 35, but you work with what you have.

Nice shot, Tim. Next time, do 3-4 shots vertically and get the panorama

Does the XE-1 do the in camera panorama like the xpro? Mine does a pretty decent job at that, and stitches everything together on it's own.

Great idea. I wish you had told me that before I went out! I'm going to give that a try next time.

It does, and I did try one. I've only used the built in panorama function a few times. The exposures were so quick that the resulting panorama was pretty badly underexposed. It certainly didn't seem to use an exposure that was anything near what I had been using to capture images while I was shooting.

FujiFilm XE-1,Fujinon XF 18-55.
Earlier this year, right before Easter.
Our nice little trip to the beach on Tybee Island, GA.
One of the marsh walkways, there was this tree with moss that was starting to bloom, the light was harsh, but hit the tree making it interesting.
I wish I could have it separated from the busy background, but here it is...
