Here's one from Death Valley a couple of days ago. It was that small structure on the extreme far right that caught my eye and had me reaching for the 14mm...I think that little structural remnant really stretches the scale here.

Kewlcanon, where is that house? USA? Looks lovely and good shots

As far as the weird look though the windows. It could just be the windows. The windows in my apartment are impossible to shoot out of, they are curved in all different ways. Granted they are from the 1920's but still... or so they say at least. It could partly be to the fact that I haven't cleaned them for 7 years either because I like the way they diffuse the light coming in to my one room, makes it nice to work with natural light in here

Wilbus, thank you for you comment. This house is in Tondano, Sulawesi (Indonesia). It is somewhat famous, many people want to take picture of it. Made by "kayu ulin" which is as tough as steel and waterproof. Nowadays it's very difficult to get this kind of wood out of Kalimantan.

It's probably the windows as you've suggested.

Haha Maybe it really is the window glass, as suggested. Very bizarre.

Hi jkspepper,
This image is gorgeous. I like the light, contrast, colors and the composition.
I saw that you shot the same scene with different cameras and different lenses and show it in different forums here. This one is by far the most attracting to me. The perspective of the 14mm, the light and the warm colors of the city vs. the sky do it for me - and the little airplane eye distractor. I can only see these colors in this image. Would some kind of comparative presentation make sense to spark discussion?

Thanks for the kind words, I had thought of that idea slightly ahead of you and have posted it in the "City, Street and Architecture" forum here. I thought it would be a good idea to get some feedback on people's preference.
