thank you all, just what I wanted to know.

now about the other questions, regarding fuji lenses...is it worth getting the M1 with the kit lens? 16-50? I mainly plan to use the body with manual lenses (yashica, etc)...

btw, does the M1 have peak focus? (and if not, which of fuji's line up has?)

A lot of this questions are answered in my review. All current Fuji cameras have focus peaking. It works best on the m1, A1 and E2, though.

The 16-50 is a good, but not great lens. It's worth the $100 in a kit and has a nice rendering, but average sharpness. The Fuji primes and high end zooms are spectacular, though. I have a 16-50 review as well on my site.

So can you tell me exactly what sensor & processor each of the 3 models have? (if i'm not being too annoying)?
From an IQ stand point of view, would I see any difference between X-E1 and X-M1? which would perform better in terms of IQ ( and high ISO)?

also how's the build quality between X-E1 and X-M1 (materials, etc) (i know they differ in functions & dials etc)

Adding to Jordan's reviews and insightful feedback, a French publication have done some IQ/noise comparison tests between X-E1, X-E2, NEX 6 and Oly PEN (EP-5). I'm not usually one to cite technical studies or benchmark tests or charts, preferring real world results instead. And I know nothing of the source in terms of quality/reliability/etc. However ... this seemed to address some of your queries so I'll throw it out there with that in mind.

Great shots! I love the first a lot, as well as the last one and the backlit photo as well. Excellent work.

Took out an old friend of a lens on the XE1... Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 2/58.

It renders colors so very well, only played with this a little in LR. I have noticed that some of my shots even at ISO200 are showing noise. Still trying to work out why. I always forget to change the lens in the the camera data.

Thanks for your review, I enjoyed reading!
May I ask for some additional comments:
- I assume you mean the M1 is more responsive. Does the E1 compensate this with more direct controls?
- Which one do you like better for using alt lenses, M1 or E1?
- Do you use the AF mode selector at the front of the E1/E2 and do you miss it on the M1?
- Do you use the AF button often on your E1/E2 when it is in MF mode, and do you miss it on the M1?
Thanks!

Your 4 Qs:

1: yes, the M1 is more responsive. The controls are not an issue on either camera. The E1 handles a little better due to its larger size and it of course has the EVF. The M1 is easier to focus though in MF. The rear screen shows focus peaking better than the E1. The E2 is better than both in all respects, though.

2: fine with both. Like I said, M1 is a little easier to focus, and I like the ability to magnify on the m1 while writing to a card, but E1 has the EVF. Probably a slight edge to the M1 for adapted lenses. Now that I have the E2, I prefer that hands down.

3: Yes and yes.

4: no and no. I use it occasionally, but don't miss it.

Some images taken last evening, November 13, 2013 just before sunset at Lock Ridge Park in Alburtis, PA. All images taken with my tripod mounted X-E1 camera and Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens. All images also processed in LR5.3RC.

Looks like Fuji now has some instant savings on glass with the purchase of camera bodies or kits.

$200 savings on the 14mm f2.8, $100 savings on the 23 f1.4, $200 savings on the 55-200 and $150 savings on the 35 f1.4

Kind of frustrating I'm sure for everyone like myself, who just had preorders filled and shipped last week!

Might be worth giving Adorama a call and complaining and seeing if maybe I can still get a discount on the 23mm f1.4 which was shipped 2 weeks ago.

I've already got the 14mm, but might be interested in the 55-200 for $500. Only thing is that it is sort of a big lens on the smaller XE bodies. Not too unbalanced but still pretty substantial.

Given I'd reach for my 70-200 f2.8 or 70-300 VR on my D3 if/when I wanted to shoot anything action related, the 55-200 would probably be more relegated to just long landscape shooting.

Might consider something like a legacy 135mm compact prime like a Minolta for those rare times I wanted a compressed landscape shot and obviously it would be far cheaper.....

Still though, good savings for those who haven't purchased a XE-2 yet, but kind of a slap in the face to everyone who preordered!

I mean what was Fuji's thinking ? Announce a camera, get all the loyal users to put in preorders, then take forever to actually ship the black bodies and kits. Then....less than a week after they filled those orders, announce a bunch of discounts ??

Not cool....not cool at all....
