How do you use such a long FL without any type of VR/IBIS on E-X1? Tripod?

First use of the X-E1, first use of the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 wide open... Converted in camera, SOOC. Be gentle. My oldest being introspective...

Some really great captures in here. Kevin and absolutic…..you will treasure these shots forever. Georgms…beautiful colors.

Jordan, I really like the faucet shot. I was shooting the Metabones C/Y-NEX, but I never bonded with the Sony……I wished I had it for the X-mount.

Here is a shot with the native 35mm on the converted camera:

Buggz, Looks like a pretty detailed shot, I have a FD 500 f/4.5 L coming soon. I was hoping to see such good results.

Keeping with the mostly (fantastic) monochrome images of this page, here’s one with the CV 15:

PS: I’m not totally happy with it, though. I guess I should go to the same spot and shoot it with the Fuji XF 14, because I’ve never quite liked my copy of the CV 15.

Buggy, the chipmunk-shot looks great. The crisp rendering of fine details is amazing, the big Canon-lens seems to carry it's L-designation for a good reason (sorry for my English).

Jordan, the whole Speed-Booster concept is intriguing, thanks for sharing your shots through it.

Kevin, I'm glad to see your rig is working! The 50/1.4K looks like a great portrait-lens: sharp, but not overly contrasty.

Rich, thank you. I'm really fascinated by your IR-shots. Very inspiring, thanks for sharing!

Xavier, nice classical looking B&W-landscape!

Another with the X-E1 and Canon FL 55/1.2 + speed booster. In retrospect, I should have stopped down a stop or two.

Man you guys stop it - I'm trying to decide whether I want to go more m43 or back into fuji (after just selling off my kit for a good price), and none of you are making this any easier !

So far, I am really liking the XE1. Old familiar feel (I grew up on rangefinders, didn't get an SLR until I was in my 30's) and image quality sharper and nearly the same DR as my old Nikon D7000 in a smaller package.

Been reprocessing (and trying some other images) from my recent shoots in Hocking Hills. In some, I didn't originally process them how I really wanted, and I think these are closer to what I had in mind at the beginning. Not sure they're still 100% where I want them, but they're closer.

X-E1 and Fuji 14/2.8:

And this is one I haven't shown before, also of the Devil's bathtub (in shot 1), but from the other side:

This is also one I didn't show...still not 100% pleased with this. This is with the fuji 55-200.

I really like this one. Sharpness is surprising with the big tele.

Thanks. The 55-200 is a phenomenal lens. Very sharp straight from wide open throughout the whole range. No softening at the long end, and very sharp.

Those are beautiful Jordan! The greens in the first one are very saturated on my screen though, but maybe that is how it looked in real life too.
Btw. I too am very impressed with the 55-200mm. I rarely use it, but that's only because I prefer primes, and if possible smaller lenses.

This is an Art Nouveau building from 1911. It was to be demolished to make room for a wider street, but now there is talk about alternative solutions, so its fate is still undecided. Probably the last time to see it as it is though, so I took some documentary shots. Difficult to photograph though because most of the rooms are tiny and the walks between them so narrow that I completely blocked them whenever I set up the tripod (X-E1 + XF 14mm as always):

Thank you! Crazy, isn't it? I had no idea that it'd be so interesting inside and almost didn't bring the tripod. Sure am glad I did, because some rooms were like caves and sometimes I got shutter speeds of several seconds. I have some more, but haven't had time to process them because we're off to Peru on Thursday.

Good stuff jman ... and another beautiful set Helena; you have a wonderful way with natural light.

This arrived today. I've transferred my AA strap and lensmate thumb rest from the X-E1, as well as dialled in camera settings, assigned functions to Fn buttons, etc. Can't wait to start shooting with it.

The leather half-case was a free bonus with purchase. It's nice enough, and feels quality. Still, I probably won't use it, if only because I *love* my AA strap. Also, it requires removing to access USB port and has no accommodation for tripod mount.

Taken with X-E1 and 35 f/1.4.

Jealous. Mine will hopefully be here soon, but B&H is saying Nov 20, but I hope that's for general availability.
