Hi Mike (Mgutman),
The picture of the Metropolitan Museum of Art was taken with the 8mm Rokinon Fish Eye, Fuji XPRO1 and Joby microstand holding it all straight, whilst balanced on the second floor bannister.
Thanks
Derrick

Hi Michael49, I have the same or similar picture of NYC Grand Central Station, but taken with the 14mm:

Very cool for me to see your picture too. I actually thought to myself "Did I post that already", only to see it was from you!

And one with the fish-eye

The Brooklyn Bridge - seen many photos of this and was happy to have one of my own even if the light was ordinary

Padlocks

Meshed skyline

Thanks
Derrick

Weekend Toy.

We've had amazing weather this summer in Britain. And it's carried on nearly a week into September. Today is sunny and 28C (about 83F), with the same forecast for tomorrow! Need to get in as much top-down driving as I can over the next 48 hours though ... Friday and Saturday are looking like they'll be more Autumn like, at 18C (65F) and rainy. Boooo!

X-E1 and 35 f/1.4

I used 18-55 and 35/1.4 lens. On the shot number 3 I used 18-55, I wish I had 35/1.4 with me that night but I just did not have it with me.

Confession:
I have a love-hate relationship with my XE1. I hate it for AF errors and it often not focusing when one thinks you should. At these moments I tell myself immediately, "I'll come home and immedaitely put it up for sale on FM, I can't deal with these AF issues anymore, my point-and-shoots have much better focusing system." But then it is the same story every time, I come home, load the SD card in my computer, look at resulting images, and there is something magical about it, and then I tell myself, "I can't sell this thing, the results are terrific." I am keeping it forever. Then the next day, I go through the same routine, I get upset and impatient when I take 50 photos of my running kid and I have 5 good ones, and then I take my m43 camera and take 50 photos and 49 are in focus. Why keep XE1? But I then look at the images and there is something about images produced by XE1 that are very pleasing.

So use each camera what it is good for.

Southern Utah. Middle of nowhere. X-Pro1, probably the 18-55.

Continuing the wall texture theme... X-M1 + 16-50. All vignetting is added in post.

I keep thinking I might sell this thing but the files are pretty nice so I step back from the brink. The non-touch screen is a major pain.

Carsten, I'm posting jpgs from work computer and processed the RAWs at home. I don't have the efix data readily available so I was using my old worn out memory. Quite analog!

Anyway, I have been looking around for a good fourth prime to fill out my Fuji kit for daily use...something in the ~135mm equivalent range, so 85-100mm. I had been using the Contax G 90mm f/2.8 Sonnar for lightweight work, and I have a Rokinon 85/1.4 that I use for really shallow DOF work (though it's a bit too big for daily carry with this little kit). I'd been eyeing a

Would you mind sharing what adapter you are using? Just bought my wife an XE-1 and am looking for a good adapter she can use with her fathers old FD lenses.

I'm just using a cheap $12 adapter from Rainbow Imaging on eBay.
