Yes, it's a long exposure. The subject is the firefly which leaves those little dots in the center of the frame.

This thread is so inspiring!

Here's one from my "We Are Human" project....not exactly an original idea, but still quite stimulating!
On an unrelated note, I've gotten into the film world much more seriously lately. Any tips for a new Bronica ETRS user? (I've got the 75mm EII and 150mm MC lenses) *Sorry for the side tangent*

I really like the muted colors and limited contrast, it's stunning, care to share the processing recipe?

Hey Chris, thanks a bunch!
Well, first I used a custom preset in Exposure 3 (a heavy modification of one of the "fading" presets) set to 40% opacity to lower the highlight contrast.

From there, an orange-ish filter layer to pump up the golden hour light streaming through the windows.

Then a curves layer to push up the midtones, a little dodging on her face/eyes,
and finally a very light sharpening layer. (masked for the detail areas only)

All in all, maybe a half hour's worth of dithering. Though I would've been done in ten if I'd been more sure of myself!

Thanks for sharing! I always find it fascinating to read about how people approach a shots post production and their method behind it! Keep posting! Oh and enjoy the film stuff!

justruss, I really like your set on page 100 with what looks like an evening by a river with friends. Great mood in all of them!

TheGloriousEnd, great look to that environmental portrait. Thanks for sharing your post processing.

Jordan,
How did you get a Canon lens on the Fuji, is there an adaptor?
That lens is my favourite on the 5D and would love to try it on the fuji.

There are adapters for most lens mounts, just search Ebay for "FD to Fuji X adapter"

I found 135mm a little difficult to use with my X-E1 because of the combination of EVF/LCD refresh speed (not fast enough). I tried my EF 135L w/ adaptor before I sold the lens.

Helena, I went out on beautiful winter's solstice day, below zero to start but lovely and bright all day.
Took the RX1 and the XE1.
The Fuji is interesting but I really love the Sony.
I will put up some photos from both cameras, the Sony will go onto the appropriate thread.
