Golly, Michiel, the pictures made with the Summicron-R 50mm are beautiful and quite unlike any of your previous work (that I've seen, at least).
On second thoughts, I shouldn't say "quite unlike" because -- particularly in the "Facades" series, everything is reduced (understandably) to a flat plane. But these landscape pictures combine flatness with a feeling of depth. Impressive.

Well seen Jonathan! That's probably the way I look at things. Deformation of profession
I have always been interested in the 2D in 3D objects and vica versa. You can see that in my sculptural work as well. On the left you see abstract road network with roundabouts folded around a cube and on the right a 3D chrystal shape made flat.
Michiel - have been enjoying your images and agree the 50 Cron series looks great on the GXR. I also really like the ZM50/2 on this camera, and considering the two lenses aren't that far apart, it's no wonder.
Jess - great set!
I haven't been using the GXR... I prepped it as a secondary camera for a recent job, but while playing around with it, the already posterized color image in the EVF degraded to the point of being unusable, even in 'predator mode.' I'm not sure it's a defective EVF or a connection problem between the camera and EVF. I guess I'll have to source one somewhere to find out. Meanwhile, I was at a product demo at a local shop where the Pentax rep was present (and brought the new GR). He seemed quite pessimistic about the future of the GXR system, unfortunately.
Ron; that is too bad. I had some hopes for a last "hurrah" from the GXR with the usual wish list:
GXR II - as fast as the GR in action, and tilt screen.
EVF III sony high res
A16 21/24/28 (as the GR takes care of the 28 I would prefer a 24-ish)
A16 50/75 macro - the old A12/50 is a very capable lens.
A16 35/2 or A16 40/2, preferably the latter, for me.
If not, a GR 40/2 would make the itch go away, in a pinch. I find 28/40 a great combination and two very small bodies sharing the same battery is a superb traveling outfit. Ever since the Ricoh lens patent (40/1.9) started floating around in january ago I have had my hopes up...
Ron, I can see if I can dig up a spare GXR body for you, should you need one. I know Ffordes has one or two in stock, used in good nick. They are quite cheap and I am contemplating a spare myself.
I already regret selling the A12/M mount and my spare GXR. However this means I am using the A12/50 a lot more and have rediscovered it a bit - a very fine performer.
Good to see that the thread is still alive and kicking. My GXR has taken on a more specialized role in my shooting. I pretty much leave the CV15/4.5 mounted, and it's my wide-angle camera. Otherwise I've been using the rest of my M-mount lenses and the CV90/3.5 SL-II on a NEX-6. I wish that the NEX could be Ricoh-ized from a firmware and button perspective, but the files are so much easier to work with and the combination of a tilt-LCD and EVF in a small body is pretty nice. To be honest, I'd be perfectly happy if they bagged the GXR idea and just released a GR series camera with an M-mount, tilt-LCD and EVF. Wishful thinking....
Thanks Henrik, but no need to create extra work for yourself. I'm of similar opinion to that expressed by Matt and find the thought of the NEX-6 quite appealing, though don't yet own one and am holding off until the NEX-7 replacement arrives. A GR with M mount would be awesome! Realistically, that is all the GXR is to me anyway since I have no interest in the other modules. Unfortunately, the Pentax merger muddies the waters and such a camera could end up being a K mount, unless they actually develop a new mirrorless system and mount. If the latter, so long as it could be adapted to M mount and retained the Ricoh design philosophy, I'd be happy.
I am actually planning on selling my GXR soon to get the GR. I only ever use the GXR for my street photography since I have a Canon 5D MkIII for all of my professional work. I have only ever owned the 28mm module and have no intention of ever buying any other lenses for the GXR so the GR makes a lot of sense for me.
If anyone is interested in buying a GXR with a 28mm lens module let me know.

Well, I have said it before: great minds think alike.
I think the NEX6 coupled with the Zeiss Touits 12 / 32 and the 50 macro that is "on the way" would be a great little package once you dial in the settings in the menu. It is quite a gap between the 12 and the 32 - but hey, the GR is there to fit the bill.
No rush for me though. I thoroughly enjoy what I have and see the 12mm Touit and the NEX6 as a "possibility". I am not sold on Fuji though initially I was very, very interested in them.
I know that if I ran Ricoh R&D most of you would get what you want. But me first.
Very nice! I haven't used mine in awhile, but it is surely the best crop sensor platform for those RF lenses. Might have inspired me to charge a battery and take it for a spin
