2 seems the critical focus is a bit off, for the shutter speed this ought to be razor sharp  The tail looks sharper than the face or, my eyes are bad 
Got to love the Snowy, looks like he's stuck I do like the open comp of this one, it has a wonderful feel to it

Sorry...I'm not even sure what made me think to put that one up today...but thanks for the kind words
Hmmm, the back of the head is for sure a little soft, I was more concerned with the Beak and eye, which looks sharp to me, but I see what you mean about the tail too...grrr, I want em to pop all the way through...oh well, I guess I'll just have to go out and shoot some more.... 
Thanks for good words on the Snowy, I really struggled with the comp on that one..finally decided I liked the look and feel and flow of the wood better than I did the screen filling Owl
