The samples looks great - in RAW better than the G3 and indistinguishable from NEX-5N in terms of details and noise as far as I can see.
And even if you feel there is any difference, to put it in context put the Nikon D4 as the FF 16MP sensor against these 16MP sensors. You will see that any real or perceived differences between NEX-5N and EM-5 will be no way near as obvious as the difference between NEX-5N and D4 which is very clear. I think thats a great performance from an m43 sensor!
I actually pre-ordered, then cancelled pending the reviews. If the reviews are as good as those samples, I'll be placing my order. It sure appears to be performing up to the nex-5n hi iso standards, and actually looks to be exceeding the nex-7 hi iso performance. I'm really curious if this is a Panasonic sensor? If so, they've definitely stepped up their game, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us.
Wow, that looks like the first u4/3 camera that doesn't suffer greatly for its' smaller sensor. It's no full-frame, but it's certainly challenging the 1.5x crop crowd. Nice to see Oly finally got off their butts and are no longer using the same sensor they have since the format's inception.
