Personally I like the 5D Mark II files but would like to see improvements in the shadow quality. (no banding, less noise)
I'm hoping that the Mark III addressed these issues. I'm getting a production model to test along with the Nikon D800. I don't need FPS but if I did, I would look no further than the 1DX.

Haha... ...I have the same setup but I still be left with a couple of lenses...and a fisheye
Canon is either smart and greedy because enough of us are willing to pay the price to sellout the first batch
or
Canon is dumb and poorly judged the demand at the higher prices, pissing off too many potential buyers and will have to lower their prices sooner than later.
It just seems to me that Nikon has used the smarter strategy in this round, but only time will tell.
Competition is good, but only if the players are willing to play the game.
I am dying to see the FF files at highers ISO's of the 1 D X
For wildlife shooters the extra FPS and Improved ISO performance will hopefully be worth the $$$. It will be interesting to compare the Mark IV, 5 D II files against the 1 D X.
If everyone would EMAIL Canon to get them moving faster I'd appreciate it
