You captured some interesting lighting, especially in the first three images. That is what makes the shots

Wow Paul what a great set, that fist is stunning, the egret really pops of the background and the translucent wings really make it an exceptional pic.

Yes there were shafts of morning light coming between two buildings making for a unique setting.

The egrets are wonderful and so difficult to get the wihites right...well done. Nothing wrong at all with the ospreys...boy I wish the first had its head up a bit...with that wings spread it would have been killer.
