p.1 #2 · Flash Bracket that holds Pocket wizard. | |
I use a Custom Brackets flash bracket for my 1Ds Mark III. Speedlight mounted as usual with Canon off-camera cord.
The Custom Bracket has pre-drilled 1/4" holes running down the vertical bar. I threaded a 1/4" bolt (no head) into the PWII tripod mount, feed it through the bracket above the hand-grip. Rubber gasket on both sides protects both the bracket and the PW (hey, I'm anal, okay?) The gasket also keeps the PW positioned where I want it without slipping. Hardware stores carry knobs that look almost identical to the custom bracket knobs. This attaches to the opposite side of the holding bolt. Mini-phone sync easily threads around to the camera, allowing simultaneous triggering of the speedlite and studio strobes.
This is a very clean set-up and looks like it came stock with the bracket----works great!
