p.1 #1 · Semi-gloss brochure paper for inkjet?

I'm looking for a nice semi-gloss inkjet paper to use for making high resolution, full color brochures with on my computer. I'm having a devil of a time finding something to fit my needs. Most of the gloss or semi-gloss is photopaper and is very expensive.

I'm looking for a paper close to the consistency of magazine paper, maybe a tad thicker.

This would be for my Canon Pixma 710 inkjet printer and needs to be 8x10 in size.

Any ideas?

i don't think your printer is capable of feeding anything that thin.

Possibly... I would also be open to other, thicker option so long as the print surface was consistent with a high quality semi-gloss.

Would a color laser printer be able to feed thinner papers?

I am struggling to find the paper that works at a reasonable cost as well. I have already tried the Zeppelin paper and really like the results, unfortunately it is cost prohibitive for my small start up.

Is there anywhere other than RedRiver to get this paper?

Or has anyone found another good two sided paper for ink jet?

I have an Epson 3880 printer so I can do wide format printing, 11x17 brochures folded.

The matte papers I have tried a very dull. I have tried some different gloss, semigloss papers for copiers or laser printers but these come out very smudged. Like there is too much ink on the page. I have tried some of the different settings on the printer but no luck. Not sure what else I can adjust. I am new to all of this so any suggestions are appreciated.

you might want to look at some proofing type papers.

Yes Inkpress Duo Semi Gloss. It is probably the same paper, but the Inkpress will cost you about twice as much as the Red River. If you want to do brochures, outsource them out to a local offset printer.
