onegreatcity Offline • • • Upload & Sell: On p.1 #1 · OK, I want in! This is no revelation for those who own it but, holy crap! The 70-200 2.8 II is an astoundingly good lens! I got a chance to shoot with one yesterday capturing some local volunteers and was stunned at the image quality when I looked at the files. I'm not allowed to post the people shots but here's one quick shot from the day, wide open at 200mm, ISO 400, 1/80. I've decided I want in 'the club' and as a result I will post a link in the next couple of days to an on-line auction for one of my kidneys in order to raise funds to purchase. I compared my "sharp" original 70-200 2.8 IS and was surprised at the amount of difference between the two lenses. Getting the 5d and the lens together saved me $400 on the lens!!!
