Not an artistic shot, but some folks complain that they'll have to buy all new lenses with the D800 to take advantage of the sensor's resolution. I dunno... since the $230 35/1.8G DX lens can do this, I'm pretty happy.
That is amazing taob - that lens is not supposed to work on full frame - the sides and corners are meant to fall apart - but I can read the sign in the bottom right side - thanks for posting this.

So for you guys that shoot the 35/1.8G on FX, do you use the vignette correction tool in NX2, etc. to brighten up the corners?
I use lightroom's lens correction profiles. Can totally eliminate the vignette but corners will still be soft, which to me doesn't matter all the much depending on type of shot. It's just so much fun to use since it's got such a close min. focal distance. Plus I picked mine up here on the B&S that had some blemishes for 100.00

I just took some test shots at various apertures and distances and NX2 could not completely remove the light falloff in the corners. Most of it could be removed, but if I moved the curves around a lot then it comes back again . . . .
hmmm.. i know in lightroom (not sure if you have it), there's a box you can check to use the lens distortion correction profile, it automatically detects it from the exif. The profile will adjust it by 100%, then you can further adjust it to 200% which usually totally eliminates it.
