Took this photo in my room just trying some stuff out with my new strobe and i like what i got. This was shot with a 5D Mark II with a Sigma 50mm 1.4 and 1 einstein was used for lighting.
just curious on what you guys thought about it thanks everyone for looking.
Lighting is interesting, but I'm one who's not against blown highlights, and you've got more blown highlights than the Indianapolis Colts football team this season. If you're going to blow highlights, I'd suggest a dark shirt. Even better, long sleeves. Change shirts, do the same setup, and see what happens.
Just a nit, but your left hand comes from nowhere. When you crop like that, it's like there's a floating hand that doesn't necessarily belong to your body.
Thanks for the advice ron... I'm not a big fan on the idea that a hand coming from no where is wrong... because in this case when you look at it you know that it isn't, but thats just me thanks again for the critique!
the high key works pretty nicely here. i agree with you that the hand coming from nowhere is NOT an issue. i like it. since you are there to provide context it works.
