Great shots. I still have fond memories of winding up in SFO for Chineese New Year in '99 after getting stuck in an AA sick out half way to Hawaii. I've always wanted to go back.
AdenMendez: I had to hold my camera over the edge to take the shot. Very nerve-wrecking indeed. Also, glad to hear that it looks like film; that was what I was going for!
DLP: Was it crowded in 99? I couldn't believe how crowded the area was. The traffic was absolutely atrocious; It literally took me a hour to drive through 2-3 blocks.
@Shoenberg3....should have seen the crowd when the parade used to come up Grant Avenue. That was a crowd! There are more people watching the parade now and also the street fair on Grant is quite nice. In the old days, they did the carnival on Waverly and then it moved down to Portsmouth Square. You are right about the traffic, really tough to get around the parade route. you guys did a nice job on the pictures.

Not nearly as crowded as your photos but still a lot of people. We stayed in the Knob Hill area so it was an easy walk.
