I'm still not really sure what the D800 will do at higher ISO. I've not seen any samples so far that really push it. The more I analyze my needs, the more I realize I have to have a clean ISO 3200 (I'm a night photographer.) I'm sitting tight, waiting to see what else Nikon releases this Spring. I don't think they're done yet.

The more interesting question to me in a case like this is, how will the D7000 compare to the D400 upon it's eventual release?
This is why I'm still sitting tight. It is possible that D400 could edge out D800 at higher ISO, and do it for half the price. Or, maybe Nikon will release yet another smaller, less expensive camera with the D3s sensor. I want to hear real world comparisions from real world photographers, not just a few hand picked by Nikon.
Yeahhh, i'm kinda interested in the whole "two cameras in one" thing... A useable DX size, and a huge FF size..i have a good amount of dx glass, but $3k to shoot dx doesnt do anything for me...
