I have always wondered how copulation took place (seriously now) since every photo of bird copulation I have seen was not clear enough when they showed the position of the male's cloacal protuberance on what appeared to be the back of the female. But your photo shows that the female's tail feathers move to one side to allow proper positioning of the two sex organs.
