Or perhaps the misty air is causing the softness?
In any case- I like the image. Even better is to be there and watch some nifty sailboats swing on their buoys because of the tide- or maybe a steady wind.

I took this with an old 50mm f2 Nikon S lens that I have (fairly closely) modified to AI specs to work with my D200 and was very keen to see what it could do. This shot is wide open, and was taken in the rain while I held an umbrella which accounts for most of the softness.
The exif is incorrect by 2 stops due to my jury rigged aperture coupling which only redas correctly if I tell the camera that the lens is a 50mmf1.4!
