AND she is only 10 years old..
Some of you may recognize her from a popular TLC reality show...after meeting her, I'm completely convinced that that show edits and coaches these shows to high drama. She was the most delightful, spunky, silly, fun girl I've photographed in a long time. We had so much fun! Just sharing a few as I just started editing them.
I used a cheap black umbrella here to help create shadowing on the side of her face...sort of like the opposite of a reflector. Worked well though, I think!
Loved it in b&w too...
Went a tiny bit vintage on this one...
Two of the girls together (I have more of these to edit)...

Lisa, You set the bar so high!!! My wife and I really love your photography, especially the grass shots you do. Amazing talent. When you publish your book, Lisa's tips and photo shop tutorials, we want one! Just kidding, I know they are your best kept secrets. Love your before and after pics on Face Book. The hours you spent in post, really make your photographs shine. You have incredible skills. Have a blessed day. Scott.

Gorgeous work as always Lisa, those eyes just suck you into the photo!
I believe you are correct on the coaching, "reality tv" is far from reality. My son's fiancee auditioned for American Idol and one of the first questions was do you have any wierd crazy life story. And they were coached to act crazy on stage.

#1 and #8 are my favorites of her top notch as usual. The color and clarity of #1 is really remarkable. The B&W conversion of #8 is perfect. The last photo the one of your daughter and her has this old style feel to it. Absolutely love this one there is something about that photo that keeps me wanting more. They look like two angels standing in front of this old broken down house.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I have some more amazing shots of her that I took using a lens prototype I'm testing. I'm not allowed to post them yet though and it's killing me! Hopefully soon the lens will be released to the public and I can share.

Thank you. I did use a white reflector in the back lit images. In the 6th and 7th images down, I played with a black umbrella camera left to create shadowing that way. I was happy with how well it worked!
