Went out to the spillway area again this morning.
Practiced my BIF with the terns. My goodness but they are quick !

As always your suggestions and comments are most appreciated and needed.

Excellent, Roberta.
You are really plowing ahead and upwards, and on a daily basis coming up with better and more challenging shots.

The egret and grebe are shot with your usual fine eye for composition and exposure.

The TIFs are also remarkable because they are exposed well, sufficiently sharp and done against a non-sky background.
The only minor suggestion I have is to move the 1st tern a bit away from the left side of the frame...that's really not about the rule of thirds, it's about what feels right to you. You may also wish to tighten the frame around the bird vertically.

I guess you might show us some swallows in flight tomorrow ?

I'm a sucker for PBGs Birdie and this is a cute on! I was really happy with the Egret until I saw the Grebe

Nice work on the Terns, and yes they sure can be challenging. But isn't that why we do it

1 and 3 for me, with the Grebe being right up there..
You are doing some really fine work and it's getting better all the time, I'm really glad that you are challenging yourself and putting things out there for people to see..you are growing by leaps and bounds

Yep, Roberta- terns are fast (and jerky). I once saw an arctic tern in Alaska catch a dragon fly in the air. But mostly they are fishermen- really good fishermen.

That's a super shot of the Egret you got there Birdie, nicely done on the whites. I'm liking the Grebe too.

You got a couple of nice captures of the terns in flight too.

Birdie, You are going gangbusters on the birds now. My only suggestion is that the first two aren't as sharp as they could be. It looks like there a bit of motion blur in the first one. Check the falling water droplets. What shutter speed did you use?

Please forgive the general thank you ! I appreciate everyone looking and commenting so very much.

Norm, my shutter speed was 1/2000. There is probably some camera motion, as handholding is not my strong point.

Again, thank you everyone ! I do consider all the ideas for improvement and try and work on them.
