Just before Christmas I made on of my less frequent winter visits to the Oceanside Marine Study Area in Long Island, New York. As usual the marsh and ponds were rather quiet yet the wooded areas were full of song birds. When I finished my walk through the park, I had about 15 minutes extra before I could leave for my next appointment. I sat down on the bench at one of the picnic tables and photographed these song birds as they moved through to visit the near buy feeder.

I agree and without food challenges many of the birds are not gathering in their usual places to feed. It makes finding them harder
