What makes these pics so nice is the clarity of the subjects and the smooth bg's. Well done. Otherwise they would be just nominal pics of ordinary birds

No, I don't have a patent there......long time ago on another bird forum we used to have fun with renaming birds and some such.

Yes, forgot to mention, the mallard in flight I think was done very well too, nicely exposed and fine background.
