So the first two shots look very similar...can you spot (no pun intended) the difference. Look carefully before viewing the fourth....a negative clue...no kills, no 2nd leopard...it's all about the only visible cat in the photo.
Ok, it looks like I didn't explain this well enough and I'm sorry for that. I realize that there are some changes in the back legs and such but what I was looking for wasn't that. This is not going to be that exciting but more just a subtle difference that helps big cats do what they do.
Look at the front paw as it takes a step and notice that the claws unsheathe...sorry if you were expecting something more exciting...but I haven't too many shots where I can see the claws just the paws. The close up is in the fourth photo.
Eric
So most of you know that big cats have retractable claws (cheetahs do not...theirs are exposed all the time like sprinters spikes)...here is a closeup of one this cat's lethal weapons. It is used for climbing, grabbing prey, defense against the dark arts...well maybe not the last but you get the idea
Nice captures Eric. The second must have been taken a split second after the first allowing the claws to show and the back leg to move. Good job, thanks for the puzzle.
