Sorry I haven't had the chance to interract with y'all for a few days but I've had a few last minute, end of season hocky shoots. Here are a few of the poster sales from the last couple of days. Hope you enjoy, and as always c/c is always welcomed and appreciated.
Billy: The ice background is brilliant! I have to agree that the goalie poster is fantastic. And what's not to like about that multi-shot poster? Fantastic work! Thanks for sharing. (Now that you mention it, the Redbird does kinda seem to throw things off-balance.)
Wow ... nicely done. I'll echo Russ' comments on the background - looks fantastic. For the multi shot poster, would a bit of an outer glow or drop shadow added to the smaller photos add a bit of separation from the main photo?
Nice looking set of posters. I like the redbird logo, just might want to play around with moving the location. Maybe to the left a little and a bit larger? Nice job.
Thanks for all the comments, guys. The varsity ice template that Chris (cmpdesigns) came up with is KILLER! It has had rave reviews from both the parents and players.
Russ - The parents of the goalie flipped out when they saw this poster! I just wish the rink I shoot in wasn't so damn cheap. They haven't changed the lights in Lord knows how long. I have lost between 1/3 and 2/3 of a stop of light from last year to this year. Thank goodness I upgraded to the Mark IV between last season and this one or it would have been real ugly.
Brent - There is a drop shadow on the action shots, it is just harder to notice at a reduced size for web display.
Jim - I was thinking the same thing. I did that with another poster I created for another kid and I made the logo pretty large and semi-transparent. Almost as if it were in the ice and I put it behind the player. I'll post it and let me know if this is what you were suggesting.

Billy does Chris sell the templates? I am always looking for some unique templates to use and I am willing to compensate the creator. I was on CMPdesigns and his poster work is CRAZY good!!!
Trevor, I just sent you a detailed PM, but to answer your question, yes, Chris does sell his templates and they were my best selling baseball posters this past season.
Clean posters, Billy-- I agree with Russ, the ice texture works perfectly on these. Also, nice to see someone add in the player autographs.
One thought I'd throw out there is regarding the last poster (which is sweet btw) would be to get a little more separation of those smaller front shots from the main image. One way would be to change the outer glow to white and strengthen it a little, or you could just darken the big jersey on the main image behind them (or both), using whatever method gives the best results. Try an Overlay layer just above the main subject image, and paint with a large soft black brush at very low opacity (5%?). Or maybe a Levels adjustment layer?
Thanks for the c/c Tom. Remember I've seen your posters so I am humbled anytime you or Paul throw a compliment my way. As a matter of fact, nearly every time out of the gate when I am beginning work on a new poster I aim to have them look as good as the baseball posters you posted a while back in the poster sharing thread. In my eye, I've not reached that level as of yet, but I continue to keep trying.
Tom, I'm all ears. I just wish you weren't all the way across the country (well halfway for me), or we could sit down over a few beers and you could have your serious talk then.
