I haven't read all the posts about this but if no one else has said it (and it's genuine), take a look at the eyepiece cover, this a 1-series style, not a 5D style. This bodes very well that it might be a '3D' or at least a more 'professional' 5 series to me.

Sorry, Itīs an exacly 7Ds eye cover copy, dhphoto. That was next to the design why I thought it is a 7D first. I was missing just the flash. What made me believe it could be the 5D follow up. Or something new.
Fact is too, that the screen is no 2/3 aspect ratio. It looks like 16:9. So it is something new. No manufacturer did that before.
HaHa... so weird, I just posted my guess for the specs over in the 200-400 thread and then came here to see Peter's specs match exactly what I guessed. These specs seem to make logical sense to me. Canonrumors says NDA ends Feb7th (same day as rumoured D800 announcement).

It might be 4-5 fps (good enough for me) but your price is too low how about $3200 ?.
That would be much more expensive then 5D MK II at its introduction. I think It will lay between 7D and 5D MK II. They will merge this line, too I guess.
assuming the resolution remotely stays the same ( cropability ) and IQ, I as a wedding photographer would love a better and more reliable auto focus system. Secondly in my list of requests would be even better high iso capability. Lastly would be 1/250 native sync for flash. heck even more MP wouldnt be bad.
After that - everything is icing on the cake. Not too concerned about low shutter noise or higher shutter speed, though those would all be nice.
If there was a noticeable jump in the items I had listed, Id jump on it.
16:9 and a seperate movie button - I dont like it. Cameras are for taking photos - not making i-movies. Release a low tier C-series camera, but please stop on the regular camera series.
