As a member of the 5D crowd, I care about having a relatively affordable Canon full frame camera with a good autofocus system and good high ISO noise control with resolution of at least 16mp. RAW burst of at least 15 frames would be preferable. 5 fps would be nice, but not a priority. 1/250 flash sync would be nice, not necessary. Anything else...I don't care much about.
Give me a reliable 19pt AF system in a relatively small 18-21mp FF body with excellent ISO/low light capabilities for ~3K and I'll buy at least two. Call it the 'EOS pap-smear' for all I care.

True - but the AF needs to be upgraded to 7d levels IMHO. I only keep a 7d for the AF at receptions...
Question...how much better would the IQ of the 5DIII be over the 5Dc, or is it all about high ISO for low light, lower noise shooting (higer shutter speeds for indoor sports), AF?
I don't make a living with my 5Dc, but in the hands of someone more experienced, I belive that it would work just fine (IMO). I shoot in daylight 95% of the time.
Are these improvements that much of an advance in the Pro enviroment?
Maybe it just makes the job go much smoother?
(I want one of course...and the 1DX...But I also want an Aston Martin...If I were racing, my sponsor would provide the Aston...who buys the "first one on the block" new camera gear...for the pros (I know, PetKal buys his own...but the rest of you)?

After 3 years, I'm expecting an improved AF and viewfinder for the 5DII replacement.
I would not count on a big improvement on frames per second though unless Canon decides to do something "ala 1Dx" and come up with a new hybrid.

AND fps and AF
I really hope it at least gets to 50D speed and older 1 series AF.

How about both?
IMO responsiveness should be improved. The 5D series feels like a skug compared to all the other Canon DSLR's. I am talking about AF speed, VF black out times, shutter lag and FPS. I really don't care for more pixels. That means a computer upgrade as well. More double axis AF points would be great too. Don't have to be 45 of them, as long as there are properly placed across the frame.
